Sanah Kotadia | Parent Coach for Moms & Couples in Texas
Hi! I'm Sanah. I'm both a professional life coach and a licensed professional counselor (LPC). While my therapy services are limited to Texas, my role as a virtual life coach allows me to work with moms & couples across the entire country.
I support high-achieving, ambitious, women and their partners who are navigating the emotional, mental, and logistical weight of parenting, while also trying to stay connected to their careers, values, and each other. This work is deeply personal to me, because I’ve lived through the same struggles my clients bring into the room. I use my coaching to offer other moms what I wish I’d had—compassionate one-on-one support and dedicated expertise to help you navigate the constantly evolving challenges of raising children, investing in your marriage, and maintaining a fulfilling career.
In parent coaching, we don’t just talk about what’s hard; we get clear on what’s not working and build strategies that fit your life. That might look like learning how to communicate with your husband without triggering shutdowns or blowups, identifying what your priorities really are instead of what society thinks they should be, or shifting expectations about responsibilities in the home and learning to ask for what you need. Therapy can sometimes feel like a hierarchical relationship, but in coaching, I see us as equals in this work. You are the expert on your life, your values, and your goals. I’m there to create a space that’s honest, supportive, and judgment-free.
I know how much vulnerability it takes even to start this kind of support. As a South Asian woman and the oldest daughter, it was hard to admit when I needed help and prioritize my own healing. But that experience has shaped how I show up: with empathy, curiosity, and zero pressure for you to have it all figured out.
My Approach to Parent Coaching
Parent coaching works best when it’s collaborative, personalized, and grounded in the here-and-now of what’s happening in your day-to-day life. Therapy often focuses on the past; while this is a powerful approach for certain types of issues, it can slow down the process of solving practical challenges. In coaching, we’ll start right away by getting clear on what’s not working, whether it’s the division of labor at home, constant miscommunication, or just the feeling that you’re carrying too much on your own.
From there, we’ll build strategies that are both practical and realistic—changes you can implement right away to solve immediate problems. This might mean creating new systems for sharing responsibilities, learning how to communicate when you and your partner are both overwhelmed, or setting boundaries that honor your values and your bandwidth.
I bring my background as a licensed therapist into the coaching relationship, not to pathologize or diagnose, but to help you understand yourself and your relationships more deeply. My role as a parent coach isn’t to give you generic tips that you could find on Google; it’s to help you make intentional, sustainable changes that support your identity, your partnership, and your mental well-being.
Above all, I want coaching to feel like a space where you can be honest, unfiltered, and entirely yourself.
Life coaching services I offer
Parent Coaching Intensives: 2x/Week for Focused Support
-
If you’re in a high-pressure season—navigating resentment, burnout, or a shift in your relationship—sometimes weekly sessions don’t feel like enough. Parent coaching intensives are for moms and couples who want to move through the stuck places faster with deeper, focused support.
We’ll meet twice a week for 90-minute sessions to go beyond surface-level solutions and create real change in how your household functions, how you communicate, and how you feel day to day. Available virtually across Texas—including Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio and throughout the USA
Best for:
Mental load burnout
Relationship tension after the baby
Overwhelmed with no clear direction
Ambitious moms who want to reset fast
Sharing the Mental Load at Home
-
You’re not imagining it, the invisible work of parenting adds up! If you're the one remembering appointments, managing schedules, packing the diaper bag, and planning meals (even with a “helpful” partner), coaching can help shift that dynamic.
In this parent coaching track, we’ll look at how the mental load is currently divided, why it feels so unequal, and what conversations need to happen to create shared systems and more fairness at home.
Best for:
Moms carrying the invisible labor
Couples stuck in default parent roles
Communication breakdowns around tasks
Resentment and mental fatigue
Parenting & Communication as a Team
-
Since becoming parents, you and your partner may feel like you’re constantly misreading each other—or having the same argument over and over. This parent coaching path is focused on helping couples communicate more clearly and feel more like a team again.
You’ll learn ways to talk without spiraling into blame, express your needs without shutdowns or silence, and rebuild emotional connection as co-parents and partners.
Best for:
Communication breakdowns
Couples feeling emotionally disconnected
High-achieving couples trying to stay aligned
Coaching for parents navigating early childhood years
Support for Working MOms Balancing Career & Parenting
-
You care deeply about your work, but since becoming a parent, it feels like everything is harder to manage. You’re questioning if you’re doing enough at home and at work, and your own needs keep getting pushed to the bottom of the list.
This parent coaching path supports career-driven moms who want to stay connected to their ambition without burning out or losing themselves in the process.
Best for:
Working mom burnout
Return-to-work transitions after baby
Boundary-setting with work or family
Guilt around childcare and career
Setting Boundaries with Family, Work, & Yourself
-
If you’re used to doing it all, saying yes when you mean no, or feeling responsible for everyone’s comfort but your own, this space is for you. Together, we’ll understand where those patterns come from (often perfectionism, people-pleasing, or cultural expectations) and help you build boundaries that protect your time, energy, and peace.
This is one of the most powerful parenting coaching paths, not because it changes everything around you, but because it helps you shift how you show up in your own life.
Best for:
People-pleasing and over-functioning
Saying yes out of guilt or fear
Resentment toward partner, work, or extended family
Moms trying to break generational cycles
Parent Coaching for Interfaith & Cross-Cultural Families
-
You’re creating a family culture that may look different from what you grew up with, and that can bring up big questions, expectations, and tension. As a South Asian woman in an interfaith marriage, I know how layered these dynamics can be.
This coaching track offers support for couples navigating parenting in the context of different faiths, cultural identities, or generational family values. We’ll explore how to align as a team while still honoring the parts of you that matter.
Best for:
Navigating holidays, rituals, and extended family
Cultural identity differences in parenting
Interfaith marriage support after baby
Couples building intentional family values
Why choose Balanced Minds for parent coaching in Texas
When you’re choosing a parent coach, it’s not just about credentials. It’s about finding someone who understands the intricate dance of balancing the emotional, mental, and logistical weight of parenting with your identity, career, and relationships.
Here’s what sets this space apart:
I bring both clinical experience and real-life understanding to my work.
As a licensed therapist and parent coach, I’ve spent years supporting ambitious moms and couples through the overwhelming stress, identity shifts, relationship strain, mental load, and burnout of parenting. My work blends emotional insight with clear, practical strategies, so you leave sessions feeling supported and equipped.
I show up as a real person, not just a professional.
Who I am enhances what I offer. I’m a South Asian woman, the oldest daughter in my family, part of an interfaith marriage, and a mother of two myself. I know what it’s like to carry cultural expectations, manage invisible labor, and want more support than you feel like you’re allowed to ask for. If you’ve been craving guidance from someone who’s been there, who gets it, you’re in the right place.
I offer virtual parenting coaching across Texas, California, New York, and beyond.
Therapy licensing limits professionals to only working with clients in their state of licensure, so as a therapist, I can only support Texas residents. In my role as a parent coach, however, I’m able to be more flexible, both in how I work and in who I work with. Plus, virtual sessions mean that we can meet wherever and whenever is convenient for you, no matter where you’re located.
Not sure if it’s the right fit?
I offer free consultations, allowing us to connect, discuss your needs, and determine together whether parent coaching is the right next step for you.
Parent Coaching FAQs: What You Might Be Wondering
-
Parent coaching focuses on present-day challenges and actionable tools, especially around parenting dynamics, relationship stress, and managing the mental load. Unlike therapy, it doesn’t involve diagnosing or treating mental health conditions. As a parent coach, I integrate my experience as a licensed therapist to add emotional intelligence and psychological sensitivity to goal-oriented coaching sessions, so you can feel more supported and empowered in everyday life.
Whether you’re navigating postpartum overwhelm or relationship strain after baby, parent coaching offers a forward-facing, flexible approach that fits the real-time challenges working moms and couples face. Not at all. While I love supporting couples navigating parenting and partnership together, parent coaching can also be highly effective for moms working individually. You don’t need to have it all figured out, or even have your partner on board, to get started.
If you’re feeling burned out, emotionally disconnected from your partner, or stuck in the default parent role, parent coaching for moms can help you start setting boundaries, communicating clearly, and shifting dynamics on your own terms. I’ll equip you with tools to create the change you’re craving in both your life and your marriage.

Most of the moms I work with are high-functioning on the outside, and even look like they have it all together, but underneath it all, they’re exhausted, overextended, and emotionally maxed out. Even if you feel like your problems aren’t big enough, coaching is still for you!
Whether you’re feeling burned out from the mental load, struggling with communication with your husband or partner after baby, or trying to balance career and motherhood without losing yourself, parent coaching gives you structured support, personalized strategies, and space to reset. That depends. Some moms and couples dealing with a single tough issue are able to get what they need in a one-time intensive. Others benefit from 3-6 weekly coaching sessions as they work through complex or connected problems, or try out new strategies and assess how they’re working. Many of my clients choose to schedule an additional intensive several months later, or whenever another big transition hits. Coaching is flexible, and we can create a plan that’s tailored to your unique needs. Schedule a free consultation to get started.
